The Hyde Park American Legion Post 1303 dedicated a plaque and flag honoring lifelong Hyde Park resident Ralph Osterhoudt Sr. for his years of military service at the March 11th, 2019 Town Board meeting.
The frame containing the flag as well as the WWII hero's many ribbons will be displayed in Town Hall. Mr. Osterhoudt fought in the Battle of the Bulge, which helped liberate the town of Bastogne, Belgium, from Nazi Germany.
