Vaccine Distribution Update

This week, Dutchess County's Department of Behavioral & Community Health (DBCH) has been allocated 1,200 first doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine by New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH).

Current NYSDOH vaccine distribution guidance directs local health departments to prioritize:

  • Phase 1B essential workers
  • Residents and staff of congregate settings opperated and certified by the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)
  • Individuals with comorbidities and underlying health conditions (high risk).

Appointments This Week at Dutchess County POD Locations

In accordance with NYSDOH directives, 1,200 eligible individuals will be scheduled for vaccine appointments this week at the County's vaccination sites at JCPenney and Dover, including:

  • Essential workers including law enforcement, emergency responders, teachers, and grocery store employees. 
  • Those with co-morbidities and underlying health conditions, including:
    • Individuals 65 and older
    • Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)
    • Individuals without Internet access

Appointments will be scheduled for 1,200 eligible individuals randomly selected from the current list of more than 53,000 people who have completed the Dutchess County Vaccination Information Request Form OR in coordination with essential worker employers.

Selected individuals will be directly contacted by DBCH.*
There will be no public scheduling link.

NYSDOH will be distributing vaccine allocations to the following vaccine providers this week. More detailed information can be found on our website.

  • Sun River Health, Amenia - 100 doses
  • Sun River Health, Beacon - 100 doses
  • Sun River Health, Family Partnership Center, Poughkeepsie - 100 doses
  • Sun River Health, Washington Street, Poughkeepsie - 100 doses
  • Hudson Valley Regional Community Health Center, Poughkeepsie - 100 doses
  • Hyde Park Family Practice - 200 doses
  • Rhinebeck Health Center - 100 doses
  • MidHudson Regional Hospital - 100 doses
  • Northern Dutchess Hospital - 200 doses
  • Vassar Brothers Medical Center - 100

Get Notified About Appointments

If you are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine and would like to be notified when a vaccination appointment at a DBCH POD vaccination site in Poughkeepsie or Dover is available for you, please complete the Dutchess County Vaccination Information Request Form.

PLEASE NOTE: You only need to complete this form ONCE. Your information will be saved week-to-week. If you make a mistake or need to update your information, please resubmit the form; only the most recent submission will be used when selecting individuals.

Vaccine supply remains very limited and it may be several weeks or months before you are notified of appointment availability as the selection process is randomized and computer-generated based on the County's current allocation amounts from NYSDOH.

Information Line at 845-486-3555, Option 1, to hear weekly vaccine updates. 

Eligibility Expansion

As per New York State guidelines, those with specific co-morbidities have been added to the current vaccination distribution phase. Those individuals with one of the co-morbidities listed on our website are asked to get a note from their doctor or pharmacist attesting to their eligibility OR have their doctor or pharmacist fill out the County's COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility Attestation Form and bring it with them to their vaccination appointment. 

Dover POD has Moved

Dutchess County's Vaccine POD in Dover has been relocated from Dover Middle/High School to the CVS Plaza at 3081 Route 22 in Dover.
