Rebuilding Together Dutchess County Logo

For more than 28 years, Rebuilding Together Dutchess County has worked to provide safe and healthy homes within the county by providing cost-free home repairs and modifications to income-qualified homeowners. They have brought volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of the growing population of homeowners in need, completing nearly 900 home repair projects. Together with their partner, the Dutchess County Office for the Aging, they are releasing their year-round Handyman Program application.

The Handyman Program is a service which provides timely small-scale repairs and safety modifications. These repairs can typically be completed in four hours or less and include repairs such as the installation of grab bars and hand rails, improved lighting, minor accessibility modifications and addressing tripping hazards.

The Handyman program will be accepting applications year-round. All applicants for the program must be income qualified and own and occupy the home located in Dutchess County. In addition, at least one household member, who could benefit from these services, must be 60 years of age or older.

Information about the program can be found on the Rebuilding Together Dutchess County website and a direct link to a PDF version of the Handyman application can be found here.
